Mahogany has been a household favorite since the beginning of the guitar. It's known for its conserved but well-balanced tone and appearance. Not only is it known for its tone but its reliability against the test of time. Mahogany holds up very well over time and is one of the main reasons why it's widely used on guitar and ukulele necks. As mahogany ages, the wood itself darkens to a brownish-orange color and the tone becomes even richer and deeper. You'll be pleasantly surprised at how well this guitar stacks up against other big names in the industry. Sound sample coming soon.
African mahogany has amber-like brownish streaks. It a type of tonewood that can be easily seasoned and is very stable to work with. It comes in a straighter grain which is great for an effective clear tonal transfer and it gives players a strong mid-range presence and a wonderful warmer overtone.
aNueNue uses naturally air-dried solid wood tops and is seasoned for years. Seasoned tops are stable, but does take time to open up and deliver a more beautiful transcendent tone. A solid top in comparison will possess a more complex timbre than a laminated top.
